Gratitude Project Day 6

Today I am grateful for the recent small stretch of beautiful weather we've had here in Pittsburgh. I can only hope it's a preview of the coming fall. Today when I got home I turned off the air and opened the door to the house, and had a beer out on the front porch soaking in some sun for a few minutes before watering the garden. Hail, Sunna!

Gratitude Project Day 5

Today is my momma's birthday, and I am feeling extremely grateful to have her in my life, for sharing her memories and wisdom with me, but most importantly, for always, ALWAYS giving me her love and support.

Gratitude Day 4

Today I am grateful for being able to sleep in, and also for the physical labor I did yesterday getting ready for husband's birthday gathering, as it enabled me to sleep hard and well for the first time in a long while. I actually feel rested today.

Gratitude

Today I am grateful for my hands, as I continue to work to prepare to celebrate my husband's birthday with family and friends later today. Usually we have this yearly gathering at my in-laws' home which is quite larger than mine and located out in the country, with an outdoor kitchen, several patios and gazebo areas, a pool, and fields for setting bonfires. This year we are hosting at my small house in the city as they are having work done on their kitchen, which is currently gutted. Doing my best to tidy up inside and out so folks can enjoy themselves.

Gratitude Project 2013

The Gratitude Project runs from Lammas to Mabon. It entails being mindful of and journalling whatever you are grateful for each day between those Sabbats. No repeats - you can be grateful for your spouse/kids/job/friends, but the reason for the gratitude needs to be different for each entry.

Yesterday: I am grateful for my job, as stressful and insane as it can be at times. It is ever challenging, which forces me to constantly learn and grow.

Today: I am grateful for time off, so I can emotionally and psychologically re-charge and get the house ready for my husband's birthday celebration and gathering Saturday.
